Science Meets Feel - What’s different about P2 putter grips?
P2 grips feature a shaft position which runs off-centre and along the underside of the grip.
The shaft position runs 1.5 – 3.0 degrees off-centre in each grip which increases the ulnar deviation of both wrists during the stroke.
The actual lie angle of the putter is not affected, the change in wrist position will make the putter feel slightly more upright once in the correct playing position with the putter head flat on the green.
How does it work?
The off-centre design increases ulnar deviation, limits mobility to the hands & wrists and promotes shaft & forearm symmetry, leading to greater face control.
P2 Classic Tour putter grips key features:
- The Classic Tour is an oversized hybrid paddle grip with flat sides that sit square in the palms
- Flat sides ensure both palms match up perfectly with the putter face
- Same shape profile as the Aware Tour but deeper from front to back taking up more of the palms of both hands
- Features an off-centre shaft position of 3 degrees
- Hand and wrist movement will feel more restricted due to the combination of off-centre shaft position and extra material positioned above the shaft
